Moorland Sculpture
An image made on the way home from one of my seascape and long exposure workshops yesterday. Sadly the weather was unkind to us at the coast but inland the Yorkshire Moors were stunning in a thick blanket of snow.
I am excited to be running two workshops in the New Year with master landscape photographer Antony Spencer who won the Landscape Photographer of the Year competition. The Double Rainbow in a Storm
View in FULL size. During the long rain storm this week in SoCal there was a break in the clouds for 5 minutes on Wednesday. I was amazed when I saw this complete rainbow and a double portion on the right side. Unfortunately I didn't have my Canon 40D (SAD), only my Canon 10mp Power Shot, so I took this three shot panoramic image of the rainbow. Taken in the Pedley area of Riverside, CA.

KHAR, Pakistan (AP) -- A suicide bomber killed at least 26 people and wounded many others Saturday in an attack on a food distribution center in the northwest of the country, officials said.
Islamist militants battling the state have attacked buildings handing out humanitarian aid in Pakistan before, presumably because they are symbols of the government and Western influence.
The bomber blew himself up at a security post close to the relief center in the town of Khar in the Bajur region, close to the Afghan border, said local administrator Sohail Khan.
He said the distribution center was used by the World Food Program and other agencies to distribute food to conflicted-affected people in the region.
The 26 victims were believed to be waiting for food, he said.
Pakistan has been rocked by over 200 suicide bombings over the last three years, especially in the northwest.
